Sub-assembly and Prototype Build
Regardless of size, quantity or sophistication, we can build electronic and mechanical samples, prototypes and sub-assemblies from a model, sketch, CAD drawing, parts list or bill of material.
Our sub-assembly services include:
Many of the appliances we manufacture incorporate electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or optical items, along with numerous other sensitive and delicate mechanisms, apparatus and devices. These can be assembled using customer supplied parts, components procured by CableTronics from our approved UK or overseas suppliers or from your preferred vendors.
Our assembly technicians are trained to various IPC standards. These include the following:
Whether a small sub-assembly or a large system, we will ensure full build compliance with your drawings, specifications and instructions; all in accordance with our own ISO 9001-2008 quality standards, systems and procedures.
Our process
Where applicable, all anti-static and RoHS procedural requirements are observed, and any documentary records, including digital photographs, drawings, build instructions and test information, are neatly compiled, presented and filed to ensure that product acceptance, quality and consistency is recorded and maintained if required.
We also encourage our technicians to visit and interact with you on a personal level, passing on their valuable engineering knowledge gained through more than 20 years’ experience, and in order to better understand your in-house processes, systems and documentation.
This engineer-to-engineer approach often helps us not only to ascertain what we do right but more importantly what we do wrong, and contributes towards that feeling of personal ownership and pride.
Prototype build
Before a client manufactures a large volume of products, they often require a prototype in order to understand both the mechanical and electronic constraints and how the product will perform both short and long term. We work from sketches, drawings, samples or models to create working prototypes.
We also provide a flexible prototyping service where two-way communication and feedback is key.
We typically work with large companies who produce high-value products, meaning that our life testing or soak testing input at the development stage is crucial to the success of a product.
