SET-UP & TRANSPORTATION

Building a Sub-assembly is just the start. Many require setting up, calibrating, programming and, most important of all, testing. Some need anti-static procedures to be observed and maintained throughout; others made to be intrinsically safe, etc. Consideration must also be given to how the completed assembly will be transported, whether back to the customer or a third party, and how it will be introduced to its parent part. In these areas, others fail, but CableTronics excels due to our past experiences and knowledge learned.

DOCUMETATION

When supplying sub-assemblies, our customers often like to know that any set-up, calibration, programming or testing has been performed as instructed. They may also want to know about any issues or parameters obtained. Therefore, CableTronics put as much importance on the accompanying documentation as the build itself. Often, this means a simple tick box exercise; sometimes, a more detailed form is required. This can be done by hand or is software-driven. Usually, if not supplied by the customer, we will design our own reports to satisfy in-house testing.

QUALITY BUILD IN

CableTronic's procedures and processes are monitored by ISO and "UL" accredited bodies. Continuous internal and external audits ensure 100% compliance with our customer's drawings, bills of materials, parts list and instructions. Full traceability of parts from supplier to product is maintained using our Cim50 MRP manufacturing software, and all Labour and Tooling are recorded and kept on file for historical reference. Various continuous improvement programmes are implemented as part of our quality system. For larger assembly projects, a QDIP system is often employed. Inspections occur throughout the assembly process from Goods-In to dispatch, with line/cell spot checks when required.
